My new task...The FIND of the Week...

While sittn at the crib in College Station, Texas, scratching this thing I call a beard, I had a wonderful idea peeps. I'll be giving u a peak into my mind on a weekly basis on what I think is cool, new, and fashion forward, but none the less timeless. But the twist is that it's not gonna be just clothes shoes or accessories, but stuff from all walks of life. Basically if I'm inspired by it then its going up. Feedback would be great for our followers (speaking of followers, my twitter is skooter88 lol) and would be appreciated. This week's find is something crisp, clean, and versatile. The Fitted Gingham. This shirt(s) is kinda a staple in the wardrobe and can be that simple pazazz you need to spruce up an outfit. I saw this in a mall at The GAP Inc. and was very inspired for some reason. Its also cost effective compared to buying more high end brands that also showcase timeless design. So check it out and tell me what you think. Like always, be un-robotic.

Director's Profile(Ford Fiesta Movement)

Inspiring video. This video is especially inspiring since lately I've been researching art schools and their application process. If you know anything about applying to an art school, you know a strong portfolio is the most important aspect. I was feeling a little overwhelmed, but after seeing this video all the love and enthusiasm that was drained out by an evening indulging in the technical side of art has been rejuvenated by some actual art itself... And this is some great inspiration for a awesome portfolio.

Take Ivy

There has been a recent push in popularity of Americana esque brands and asethics in men's fashion. It's probably the reason I've been wearing my wingtips and oxford button ups lately a lot more than my Jordans. If you haven't noticed just visit any credible men's fashion blog or pick up an issue of GQ Stlye. The magazine did an entire special edition issue dedicated to Americana inspired fashion. I've been saying GQ has been really lacking lately; however, I have to say this issue was amazing. (eventhough it is pretty late.) Along with the recent Americana buzz, there was and still is a lot of buzz around the 1960's photography book "Take Ivy", mostly thanks to a blog entry on ACL back in 2008. The book is a product of Japanese photographer, T.Hyashida, taking pictures of Ivy Leaguers at notheastern universities. The photography exhibits the preppy style that is still so much alive today. The book is simply amazing.
